Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilfred Ainsworth (ranked 915 p4p, 1706 weight class) and Mareth Line (ranked 138 p4p, 240 weight class). Ainsworth comes to the cage accompanied by Fred Neil - Everybody's Talkin'. Line has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Mareth Line has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilfred Ainsworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mareth Line!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Line as he checks the leg kick.
Ainsworth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ainsworth throws a body shot but no joy.
Line feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ainsworths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ainsworth throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A head kick misses from Line.
Line looks to land a right hand but Ainsworth moved out of range.
Line uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ainsworth.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Line throws a chopping leg kick but Ainsworth manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Line has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Line lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Wilfred Ainsworth will probably get the nod.

Well Line has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
