Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bye Bye (ranked 2250 p4p, 2998 weight class) and Mr Glass (ranked 286 p4p, 372 weight class). Mr Glass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bye Bye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Glass!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bye shoots for a double leg takedown but Glass sprawls well. He's pushed Bye's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bye shoots in but no luck this time.
Bye will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bye Bye. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Glass stuffs the takedown attempt from Bye. Bye gets slowly back to his feet.
Bye fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Glass wants to counter with a clinch but Bye pushes him away.

Bye looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Glass scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Bye gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Glass tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bye is looking to take a break and control but Glass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Glass is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bye tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bye has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bye is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Glass is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Glass is looking to regain half guard here but Bye keeps moving and retains side control.
Bye trying to control the position but Glass is working away.
Glass is looking to reverse the position.
Glass is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bye has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A lull in the action here as Bye stalls from top position.

Bye goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Glass rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bye's guard! Nice work there by Glass!

Glass stopping the sweep attempt from Bye.

Bye working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Glass doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Glass manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bye looking for a sweep. Not yet Bye, not yet.
Bye definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Glass looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bye is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Glass defends well.

Glass wants to control from the top but Bye keeps moving.
Bye tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bye trying to keep a closed guard but Glass is proving a slippery customer.
Glass looking to pass the guard.
Bye working a defensive guard here.
Glass must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Glass sitting in guard here, content to control.
Glass's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Glass wants to control from the top but Bye keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Glass stands and throws Bye's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Glass remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bye tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Glass wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bye manages to work his way to half guard, despite Glass's best efforts.
Bye is pressing down on Glass's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Glass pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bye is keeping the position for now.

Glass gets to his feet. Bye looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Glass fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bye looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Glass throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bye is defended easily by Glass.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Glass dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Glass throws a body shot but no joy.
Bye shoots in for a takedown but Glass shows good takedown defense.
Bye shoots in but no luck this time.
Glass tries to counter with a clinch but Bye shakes him off and moves away.
Glass scores with a punch to the head.
Bye takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Glass tries a head kick but it misses.
Bye goes for a double leg but Glass avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Glass continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bye Bye. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Glass using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bye has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bye is looking to take this one to the mat.
Glass tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bye's elbow.
Bye tries for a takedown. No joy.

Glass works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Bye keeping moving, preventing Glass from controlling successfully.
Bye wants to sweep but no luck.

Glass content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bye has locked up a guillotine! Bye's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Glass is holding on here and Bye must be using up a lot of energy. Glass has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bye gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bye Bye!
Bye Bye was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
