Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Couscous Mahoo (ranked 1785 p4p, 2395 weight class) and Scottie Lamez (ranked 109 p4p, 158 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamez misses with a straight left.
Mahoo misses with a looping left.
Lamez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lamez looks to score with a jab to the body but Mahoo is just out of range.
Mahoo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lamez manages to avoid it.
Couscous Mahoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mahoo swings widly with a right hand
and Lamez counters with a right hand to the body.
Mahoo misses with an uppercut
and Lamez counters with a left to the body.
Lamez looks to score with a jab to the body but Mahoo is just out of range.
Lamez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lamez checks the leg kick.
Lamez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mahoo.
Lamez throws a body punch but Mahoo moves out of range.

A little feinted left hand from Mahoo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Lamez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lamez tries to pull guard but Mahoo won't allow it.

Mahoo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mahoo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mahoo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lamez is keeping the position for now.

Mahoo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lamez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahoo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mahoo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mahoo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mahoo wants to control from the top but Lamez keeps moving.
Mahoo works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Mahoo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mahoo is thwarting Lamez's attempts to control the position.

Mahoo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mahoo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lamez wants to control but Mahoo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mahoo is working for a submission of some sort.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mahoo taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Lamez has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it!
