Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stoyan Simovski (ranked 5172 p4p, 4499 weight class) and Dennis Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stoyan Simovski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stoyan Simovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dennis Guy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Simovski - just one landing.
Simovski wants to clinch.
Guy keeps the fight on the outside.
Simovski lands a jab to the nose.
Guy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Guy feints and as Simovski raises his hands in defense, Guy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Simovski is looking to stand back up but Guy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Simovski.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Guy in particular looking to stall.

Guy stands up out of the half guard.
Simovski scores with a nice head shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guy closes the distance and clinches.
Simovski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Simovski lands with a short shot to the head.

Guy has hold of one of Simovski's legs. Simovski is fighting the takedown attempt but Guy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Guy scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Guy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Guy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Simovski, up you get!

Guy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Simovski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Guy moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Guy has an Americana. Simovski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Guy is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Guy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
