This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 10 losses; Artur Azaryan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 14 losses; David Yung!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yung is defended easily by Azaryan.
Azaryan tries to clinch there but Yung circles away.

Azaryan rushes Yung and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Yung is working for takedown but Azaryan is calmly controlling the position for now.

Artur Azaryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Yung.

Yung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Azaryan uses from the top position.
Yung looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Let's hope that Yung has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Yung is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Azaryan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Azaryan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Yung wants to control but Azaryan is having none of it.

Azaryan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yung is looking to escape.
Azaryan moves to the back.

Azaryan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Yung defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
I really don't envy Yung right now.
Yung manages to reverse the position and now he's in Azaryan's guard. Nice work there by Yung.
