Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carcarah Catartes (ranked 1899 p4p, 3648 weight class) and Julian Durda (ranked 202 p4p, 345 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Durda. Those never looked like landing.
Catartes is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Catartes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mapinguari Guerreiro in the buildup to the fight.

Catartes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Julian Durda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looked like Catartes was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Durda.
Durda lands with a straight right. Catartes didn't see that one coming.
Durda connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Durda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Catartes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durda.

Durda is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Catartes had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
