The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy throws an overhand right that lands on Gilmore's shoulder, as Gilmore tries to avoid the shot.

McCarthy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gilmore wants to improve his position but McCarthy is controlling well.
