Masunwendinghamar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Weltschmerz. Islandiano Islandish is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masunwendinghamar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Islandish's head backwards.

Islandish has Masunwendinghamar up against the cage in a clinch.
Islandish has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Masunwendinghamar after a bit of a struggle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Islandish has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Islandish keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Masunwendinghamar's efforts to push away.

Masunwendinghamar breaks the clinch.
Islandish slips a straight right by Masunwendinghamar.
Islandish tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Masunwendinghamar defends well and Islandish ends up having to push Masunwendinghamar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Masunwendinghamar throws a looping overhand right but Islandish ducks down to avoid it.
Islandish steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Masunwendinghamar.
Masunwendinghamar jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Masunwendinghamar darts in looking for a takedown but Islandish gets double underhooks and turns Masunwendinghamar into the cage.
Islandish is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masunwendinghamar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Masunwendinghamar drops Islandish with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Islandish looks back up at him and smiles so Masunwendinghamar waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Islandiano Islandish has been cut.
Islandish throws a head kick but Masunwendinghamar moves out of range.
Masunwendinghamar closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Islandish! Masunwendinghamar dives in looking to finish! Islandish is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
