Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Je Ha Kim (ranked 4271 p4p, 5696 weight class) and Rising Sun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sun's choice of entrance music: Run It Back. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Je Ha Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rising Sun!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sun avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sun sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kim misses with a hook
and Sun counters with a series of strikes. Kim will be more careful next time no doubt.
Sloppy strikes from Sun. Those never looked like landing.
Kim smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sun shoots in looking for a takedown. Kim tries to sprawl out of it but Sun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Je Ha Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sun bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sun is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sun has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kim finds it's way round the side to connect with Sun's head.
Sun fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kim scores with a sloppy right hand. Sun should have avoided that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sun gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kim thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kim misses with a few strikes there.
Kim throws a body shot but no joy.
Sun's coach down at Simply The Best was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sun's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sun uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kim.
Kim lands with a cross.
Kim misses with a straight right.
Sun works over Kim's head and body with a nice combination.
Kim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kim throws a nice looking combination but Sun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sun slips a jab from Kim.
Sun stalks Kim and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kim's face. Kim staggers backwards, shaken.
Sun tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Je Ha Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sun goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice sprawl there from Kim as Sun shoots in.
Sun fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice jab there from Kim.
Kim pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kim throws a hook to the side of Sun's head but Sun sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sun scores with a three punch combo!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sun scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sun slips a straight right by Kim.
Sun is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Sun feints a jab promting Kim to slip. Sun then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kim slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kim lands a lovely overhand right.
Sun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kim misses with a left hand
and Sun counters with a one-two to the body.

Kim is rocked!
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
Kim looks to throw the jab but Sun is out of range.
Kim sets himself, and Sun steps forward looking for the clinch! Kim avoids it this time.
Kim looks to land a left hand but Sun moved out of range nicely.
Kim throws a jab when Sun was well out of range.
Sun lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Sun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kim jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice uppercut there from Sun.
Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sun grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Kim takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Sun cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rising Sun!
Rising Sun was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
