PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Garcia (ranked 3047 p4p, 4351 weight class) and Henry Schogt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Schogt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schogt swivels and escapes.
Garcia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Schogt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Schogt doesn't manage to clinch there - Garcia circles away.

Schogt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garcia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Garcia manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Schogt seems to be working for a kimura but Garcia defends the submission attempt.
Schogt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Garcia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schogt is looking to stall here but Garcia recovers full guard.

Schogt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schogt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Schogt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Garcia dives on top into guard.
