Furstenfeld has chosen Say It - Blue October as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Klubber Lang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klubber Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Furstenfeld!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang thows a left - swing and a miss!
Furstenfeld slips a straight right by Lang.
Lang looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Furstenfeld changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lang is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Furstenfeld is controlling him well.
Lang on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lang tries to get out of the position.

Furstenfeld wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lang, who protects the arm well.
Lang is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Furstenfeld tries for a kimura but Lang is defending well.

Furstenfeld tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furstenfeld has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Furstenfeld thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lang pushes Furstenfeld away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Furstenfeld gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Furstenfeld tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furstenfeld has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lang is pushing Furstenfeld's head away, looking to escape. Furstenfeld manages to hold on to the position though.

Furstenfeld has hold of Lang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Furstenfeld cranks the arm and Lang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Charlie Furstenfeld!
