Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Dilbrandt (ranked 4224 p4p, 4013 weight class) and Sam Salter (ranked 383 p4p, 369 weight class). Salter has chosen Dead Or Alive as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dudley Dilbrandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Salter!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt connects with a jab.
Dilbrandt throws a jab when Salter was well out of range.
Dilbrandt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Salters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dilbrandt cracks Salter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Salter doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Dilbrandt to counter with a crisp jab.
Dilbrandt is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Salter goes for a double leg but Dilbrandt avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dilbrandt continues to drive forward.
Dudley Dilbrandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dilbrandt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Salter's head backwards.
Salter shoots in for a double leg but Dilbrandt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dilbrandt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dilbrandt connects with a nice short shot to Salter's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dilbrandt is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dilbrandt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Salter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dilbrandt defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Salter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dilbrandt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dilbrandt tries to lock up and control but Salter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Salter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dilbrandt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dilbrandt shrugs it off.

Salter is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dilbrandt has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dilbrandt!
