The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okamoto punishes Deigos's body with a nice straight punch.
Deigos missing with a left hand there. Okamoto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A slow jab from Deigos misses its intended target.
Nice shot lands for Deigos.
Deigos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Deigos drops Okamoto with a beautiful combination! Okamoto stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Deigos is looking for the KO!

It looks like Yoshito Okamoto has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jab, jab by Deigos - just one landing.
Deigos lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Okamoto falls backwards - clearly groggy! Deigos dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Deigos!
After the fight, Alex Deigos was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
