And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips throws a sloppy head kick and Everett moves out of range easily.

It looks like Wallace Everett has been cut.
Phillips using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Everett has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Everett tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Phillips breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Phillips tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Everett closes the distance but Phillips moves to the side
and Phillips counters with a one-two to the body.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Everett is working an open guard so Phillips takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Phillips goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Phillips stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Phillips wants it to stay on the feet.

Phillips scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Everett closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Everett lands in his opponent's guard.

Pedro Phillips tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
