Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeShawn West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chester Drawers!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by West.
Drawers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Drawers avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Drawers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've been told by West's head coaches at Shao Kahns Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Drawers looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Drawers has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Drawers there as he acknowledges the shot.

West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drawers on the ground.
West is holding Drawers down, trying to stall.

Drawers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. West knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

West is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Chester Drawers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

West throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

West fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Drawers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
West throws out a loose jab but Drawers uses good head movement to avoid it.

Drawers has hold of West's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! West tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Drawers cranks the arm and West screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from West, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
