The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Ross misses the target.
Della Bella feints the counter takedown.
Ross shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Della Bella pinned against the cage. Della Bella gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Della Bella with the counter takedown but Ross avoids it easily.
Ross missing with a left hand there. Della Bella was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ross throws a jab when Della Bella was well out of range.
Della Bella closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ross stuns Della Bella with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ross throws out a loose jab but Della Bella uses good head movement to avoid it.
Della Bella tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ross throws a hook but Della Bella avoids it easily.

Ross looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Della Bella is fending him off so far but Ross persists. Nope, Della Bella circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross closes the distance and clinches up with Della Bella, looking for a takedown. Ross pushes Della Bella against the cage but Della Bella circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And Della Bella tries to counter it with a takedown but Ross pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ross shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Della Bella has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ross. Oh but Della Bella has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ross goes limp - he's gone! Della Bella jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
