Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thorulf Hammar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Ross!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammar works over Ross's head and body with a nice combination.

Ross is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hammar's half guard.
Ross is controlling the pace.
Ross's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ross is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ross missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hammar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ross on the ground.

Ross is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hammar has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ross seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ross is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hammar is just riding it out for now. Ross eventually gives up the hold.
Ross thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hammar's head.

My spies in Bennies Boppers inform me that Ross has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Hammar trying to control but Ross postures up.

Ross seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hammar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
