Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Rize (ranked 1281 p4p, 2263 weight class) and Paulo Kogos (ranked 26 p4p, 55 weight class). Rize comes to the cage accompanied by Luke Combs - When It Rains It Pours. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Rize!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Kogos!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rize tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kogos is able to avoid easily.
Kogos changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kogos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Rize keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kogos.
Rize works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Kogos is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rize has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Rize lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
We've been informed that Kogos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kogos breaks from the clinch.

Kogos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
