Edwards's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Damian Marley - Road to Zion. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Valentin Taneyev enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taneyev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Taneyev lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Edwards backs up against the cage.
Edwards looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Edwards misses with a wild body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Edwards, as that shot connected.
Taneyev moves out of range of the strikes.
Valentin Taneyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edwards takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Taneyev throws a jab but it's blocked by Edwards.
Taneyev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Edwards swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Edwards gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Taneyev throws a quick inside leg kick.
We've been informed that Taneyev has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Taneyev shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Edwards eats them both and turns towards Taneyev to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Taneyev ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Edwards throws a body punch but Taneyev moves out of range.
Edwards walks into a jab.
Edwards throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Taneyev jabs at Edwards's body.
Edwards throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Taneyev throws an overhand right that lands on Edwards's shoulder, as Edwards tries to avoid the shot.

Taneyev looks to land a left hand but Edwards moved out of range nicely.
Taneyev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Taneyev scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Taneyev throws a right hand that misses
and Edwards counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Edwards takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Edwards gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Taneyev.
Taneyev misses with a wild combination.
Edwards takes a kick to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Edwards. Taneyev does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Edwards has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Some wild striking there from Taneyev.
Edwards fires out a quick counter leg kick but Taneyev just manages to avoid it.
Edwards avoids the head kick by Taneyev.
Edwards was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Edwards lands a jab to the nose.
Taneyev's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Edwards connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Taneyev scrambles back to his feet.
Edwards throws a shot from downtown. Taneyev moves away and avoids it.
Taneyev throws a series of punches but Edwards avoids them all with ease.
Edwards ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Edwards throws a body shot but no joy.
Taneyev takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Taneyev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Edwards was well out of range. Poor timing from Taneyev.
Taneyev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Edwards misses with a low kick.
Edwards misses with a straight left.
Taneyev misses with a double jab.

A big left from Edwards misses.
A combination from Taneyev does no damage.
Edwards avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taneyev throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Edwards stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Taneyev jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Taneyev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A quick step to the side and Edwards tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Taneyev connects with a high kick.
Taneyev defending well as Edwards loads up on a big left hand.
Taneyev swings and misses with a hook to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Edwards misses the target.
Edwards fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Edwards lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Taneyev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taneyev throws a head kick but Edwards moves out of range.
Edwards throws a low kick but Taneyev moves out of range easily.
Edwards throws a looping overhand right but Taneyev ducks down to avoid it.

Edwards lands a big head kick that sends Taneyev tumbling to the mat! Edwards takes a step backwards and waves Taneyev back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Taneyev is rocked!
It looks like Valentin Taneyev has been cut.
Taneyev pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Edwards back to the cage. Taneyev follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Taneyev is still on wobbly legs! Can Edwards finish him?
Edwards with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Taneyev seems to have recovered his senses.
Taneyev throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Taneyev feints a jab promting Edwards to slip. Taneyev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Edwards slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Edwards lands a nice hook to Taneyev's body. Taneyev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Edwards cracks Taneyev with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Edwards has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Taneyev to stand back up!
Taneyev scores with a jab to the body.
Taneyev misses with a lunging right hand
and Edwards counters with a big right hand! Oh Taneyev is in trouble here! Edwards follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
