Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Bond is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bond tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bond rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Bond has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Silva fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bond wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bond tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

and Bond counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.

Bond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bond is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Bond decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.

Bond goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Bond's guard.

Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Bond scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Bond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva is looking to stand back up but Bond counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Silva.
Bond wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bond wants to stand but Silva has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Bond wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.

Bond is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bond is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Bond's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bond.
James Bond has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bond flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Silva tries to control but Bond wriggling away.
Silva is really struggling to control Bond but he's trying to hold on to the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva landing strikes, looking to finish!
Bond is wriggling around trying to escape.
Silva wants to control the pace but Bond is squirming around nicely.
Silva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to James Bond.
Well Bond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
