Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henry Cejudo (ranked 3439 p4p, 4380 weight class) and Tiger Li (ranked 208 p4p, 0 weight class). Cejudo comes to the cage accompanied by The Olympic Spirit. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Cejudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tiger Li!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li throws a left and a right that both miss

and Cejudo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Cejudo prevents Li from improving his position.

Cejudo is working for a kimura but Li is defending it quite comfortably.
Cejudo is looking to take a break and control but Li is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cejudo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Li on the ground.
Cejudo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cejudo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Li swivels though and keeps the full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cejudo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Henry Cejudo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cejudo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Li sprawls well. Li wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cejudo gets slowly back to his feet.
Li throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cejudo shoots for a takedown but Li saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Cejudo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cejudo or perhaps it was just good defense by Li, which made it look bad.

Li bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Li decides to stand back up. Li steps back and let's Cejudo get back to his feet.

and Cejudo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Li won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cejudo is really struggling to control Li but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Cejudo is taking a breather. Li says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cejudo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cejudo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working.
Li is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cejudo scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Cejudo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Li is just riding it out for now. Cejudo eventually gives up the hold.
Cejudo is pressing down on Li's thigh, looking to free his foot. Li is holding on for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Li wants to control but Cejudo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tiger Li showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Cejudo darts in looking for a takedown but Li gets double underhooks and turns Cejudo into the cage.

Cejudo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Li doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cejudo.
Cejudo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Cejudo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cejudo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Li defends it well.

I think Cejudo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
