Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Theriot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Douglas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas tries for a takedown but Theriot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Douglas or perhaps it was just good defense by Theriot which made him look bad.

Theriot shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Douglas is not content to let Theriot control the position.
Douglas is trying to maintain the position but Theriot is very close to passing his half guard.

Theriot slips a nice elbow through Douglas's hands, connecting with Douglas's forehead.

It looks like Jack Douglas has been cut.
Douglas wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Theriot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Douglas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Douglas wants to improve his position but Theriot is controlling well.

That has opened up Jack Douglas's cut even more.
Douglas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Theriot scores with a couple of nice shots.

The cut above Jack Douglas's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Theriot is nestled in close to Douglas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jack Douglas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Douglas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
