The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Aldo won't allow Cherobin to sweep him here.
Cherobin throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Aldo wants to control from the top but Cherobin keeps moving.
Cherobin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Cherobin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aldo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Aldo connects with a solid leg kick.
Cherobin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cherobin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cherobin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Aldo counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Cherobin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cherobin tries for a takedown but Aldo circles away easily
and Aldo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Cherobin has his takedown stuffed
and Aldo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Aldo moves into full mount! Cherobin won't be happy about that!

Cherobin is looking to get to half guard.
Aldo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cherobin is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cherobin flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Aldo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cherobin and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Aldo slips an arm under Cherobin chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Aldo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Aldo is squeezing on Cherobin like an anaconda would it's prey. Cherobin fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Antonio Aldo!
