Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Begeman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Begeman throws out the jab.
Scott misses with a looping left.
Scott moves out of range of the body kick from Begeman.
Begeman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Scott stuffs the takedown attempt from Begeman. Begeman gets slowly back to his feet.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Begeman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Scott tries a head kick but it misses.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch but Begeman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Begeman avoids the body shot from Scott.
Begeman fails with a takedown attempt.
Nathan Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Begeman.
Scott throws a half hearted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Begeman cracks Scott with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Scott looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Begeman finish him?


It looks like Nathan Scott has been cut.
Nathan Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Begeman takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like James Begeman has been cut.
Scott fails with an attempt to clinch.

Begeman gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Begeman tries to advance to mount but can't.

Begeman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Begeman misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Begeman is working to tighten is grip on Scott's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Scott has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Begeman is really squeezing tight and eventually Scott passes out! Begeman breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). James Begeman!
