Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alan Walker (ranked 4184 p4p, 4501 weight class) and Mark Diakese (ranked 0 p4p, 260 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Diakese!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Diakese is trying to defend but Walker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Walker controlling the action here.
Walker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Walker is thwarting Diakese's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Walker in particular looking to stall.

Diakese wants to get back to his feet.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Walker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Diakese shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side.
Walker tries to counter with a takedown but Diakese is quick to defend against it.
Alan Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Diakese!
Walker is staying tight to Diakese's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Diakese is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Walker is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Diakese wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Walker prevents Diakese from getting the reversal.
Diakese is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Diakese is looking to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Diakese tries to lock up and control but Walker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Diakese gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Diakese has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Walker off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Walker shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Diakese has one foot on Walker's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Alan Walker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Diakese wants to control but Walker is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Walker is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Diakese is looking to control Walker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diakese avoid being mounted?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Diakese throws a leg kick that misses.
Diakese closes the distance and clinches up with Walker, looking for a takedown. Diakese pushes Walker against the cage but Walker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Diakese.
Diakese is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Walker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Diakese bucks up and tries to throw Walker off but instead Walker has got his back!
Diakese is trying to break free.

Walker just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Walker not allowing Diakese to control his hands.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Walker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diakese can do to turn this around?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Walker is hanging on to Diakese's back as he tries to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diakese trying to control the action but Walker just sinks the hooks in.
Walker controls the position.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alan Walker will probably get the nod.
That's time! Walker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Walker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diakese's guard.

Walker moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Walker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker works to advance to full mount. Diakese defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Walker seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Diakese for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Diakese wants to control but Walker is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Walker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Walker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Diakese is trying to control but can't.
Walker controlling the pace.

Alan Walker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Walker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
