Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mareth Line (ranked 879 p4p, 1249 weight class) and Brandon Stark (ranked 126 p4p, 173 weight class). Line comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Stark!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark checks a leg kick.

Stark closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stark lands in his opponent's guard.
Stark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Stark drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Line dives on top into guard.

Stark throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Line escapes and throws Stark's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Line passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Stark!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark prevents Line from taking his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Line content just to control the position here.
Stark tries to reverse the position but Line maintains control.

Line goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stark is on top in guard.
Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Line is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Line looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Line is trying to keep Stark in close.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Stark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Line is keeping the position for now.
Stark forces his way into half guard.
Line wants to control but Stark is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Stark is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Line sees it coming and defends easily.
Stark is trying to control. Line wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Line is trying to maintain the position but Stark is very close to passing his half guard.
Stark controlling the pace.

Stark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stark stalling away here and it's allowed Line to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Line lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Stark looking to control but Line passes into half guard.
Line seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stark does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Line wants to pass the guard but Stark is defending well.

Stark is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Line pulls his head out easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stark is defending against the submission attempts here by Line.

That was a close round but I would say that Mareth Line will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stark swings for the body but Line moves out of range.

Line takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Stark ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Line cracks Stark with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Line takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Line takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Line throws a head kick but Stark moves out of range.
Line stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Line instigates a clinch.
Line misses with a body punch.

Line manages to break the clinch.
Line tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stark with a hook.
Line keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Line throws a hook but Stark avoids it easily.
Mareth Line is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Line lands a nice shot to the body.
Line keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Line throws a good cross that connects.
Stark looks for a takedown but Line sprawls well.
Stark stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Line.
Stark has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Line.

Line ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stark just misses with a punch to the body.

Line rushes Stark and presses him up against the cage.

Line breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stark takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Line lands a head kick. Stark smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Stark is rocked!
Stark gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Stark tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Line is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Stark buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Stark!! Stark is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Line throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mareth Line!
Mareth Line is the new welterweight champion!
A victorious Mareth Line thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
