The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berzina throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Anisimov to counter with a crisp jab.
Berzina throws a hook but Anisimov blocks it.
A jab from Berzina does it's job there.

Anisimov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Berzina on the side of the head.

It looks like Ali Berzina has been cut.
A big left from Berzina misses.
Berzina shoots in looking for a takedown. Anisimov tries to sprawl out of it but Berzina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anisimov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Berzina looks to land a combination but Anisimov avoids it well.
Anisimov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Berzina fails with an attempt to clinch.
Anisimov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Berzina throws a series of punches but Anisimov avoids them all with ease.
Anisimov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Berzina swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Anisimov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Anisimov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Berzina! Anisimov lets Berzina back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Berzina is rocked!

Berzina darts in looking for a takedown but Anisimov gets double underhooks and turns Berzina into the cage.
Vitaly Anisimov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Berzina.
Anisimov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Anisimov missing with a left hand there. Berzina was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Anisimov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Berzina throws a body shot but no joy.
Anisimov is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Berzina takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Anisimov measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Berzina! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
