PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klahan Saetang (ranked 23276 p4p, 23462 weight class) and Terry Harry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Klahan Saetang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Harry!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harry throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Saetang counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Harry avoids a kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Saetang crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Harry - the referee stops the clock and Saetang gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Harry. Saetang manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Harry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saetang's waist but Saetang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harry off to one side.

Saetang gets caught flat footed, as Harry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Harry drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saetang looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saetang looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Saetang!

Saetang tries to pass to full mount but Harry defends it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Harry is looking to control Saetang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harry avoid being mounted?
Saetang throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Harry to regain full guard.
Harry has control of Saetang's left arm, preventing Saetang from doing any damage.
Saetang forces his way into half guard.
Saetang thows a huge punch but Harry dodges it nicely.

Harry keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Saetang is looking for a kimura here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Harry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saetang swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harry misses with a wild body shot.
Harry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Saetang moves into range and clinches up with Harry.

Saetang wants to take the fight to the mat but Harry manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Saetang looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Harry has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Saetang clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Harry is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Saetang tries to escape but Harry has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

That was a close round but I would say that Klahan Saetang will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Harry darts in and clinches Saetang up against the cage.
Saetang prevents the takedown attempt.
Saetang is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Harry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Saetang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saetang scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Harry manages to mount him!
Harry cracks Saetang with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Saetang is squirming around, avoiding Harry's attempts to control the action.
Harry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harry moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Saetang has worked his arm free - good work by Saetang!
Harry is looking to take a break and control but Saetang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Saetang gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Saetang wants to improve his position but Harry is controlling well.

Saetang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Saetang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Harry wants to control from the top but Saetang keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Saetang throws a series of punches but Harry avoids them all with ease.
Harry tries to clinch there but Saetang circles away.
Saetang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saetang somewhat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harry lands with a nice body kick.

Terry Harry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Harry has clasped his hands together around Saetang's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Harry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Saetang tries to bench press Harry off him but Harry keeps the position.
Harry takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Saetang to pass into mount.

Harry is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Saetang has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Saetang!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harry is on top in guard.

Harry wants to control from the top but Saetang keeps moving.

Harry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saetang's guard.

Saetang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
