Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kilo Maluga (ranked 1 p4p, 25 weight class) and Pupuki Namasuzuki (ranked 1 p4p, 5 weight class). Maluga comes into the arena with JUNGLE blaring out of the sound system. Namasuzuki has chosen Stand By Me- Ben King as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kilo Maluga!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pupuki Namasuzuki!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namasuzuki misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Maluga to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Pupuki Namasuzuki has been cut.

Namasuzuki throws a hook but Maluga blocks it.
Maluga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Namasuzuki moves away.
Namasuzuki tries for a takedown but Maluga circles away easily
and Maluga counters with a left and a right that stings Namasuzuki.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Namasuzuki has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Maluga throws a right hand that Namasuzuki ducks under and follows up with a left that Namasuzuki also avoids with ease.
Maluga misses with a hook.
Namasuzuki replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Maluga blocks it well.
Namasuzuki moves out of range as Maluga strikes.
Namasuzuki only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Maluga looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Namasuzuki scores with a punch to the head.
Namasuzuki throws a front kick aimed at Maluga's knee but Maluga avoids it well.
Namasuzuki blocks a jab.
Maluga pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Namasuzuki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Namasuzuki.
Namasuzuki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maluga misses with a lunging right hand
and Namasuzuki counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Namasuzuki scores with a crisp jab that stopped Maluga in his tracks.
A lazy left from Namasuzuki finds it's target.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Maluga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Maluga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Namasuzuki manages to avoid it.
Maluga keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That has opened up Pupuki Namasuzuki's cut even more.

Namasuzuki misses with a lunging right hand
and Maluga counters with a nice kick to the body.
Maluga lands a nice looking kick to the body. Namasuzuki takes a step back to recover.

Maluga throws a front kick that sends Namasuzuki stumbling back into the cage.
Maluga scores with a jab.

and Namasuzuki counters with a good low kick that Maluga was not able to check.

Maluga throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Namasuzuki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Maluga uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Namasuzuki.
Namasuzuki throws a lazy right hand but Maluga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maluga walks into a straight right hand from Namasuzuki.
Namasuzuki moves out of range of the body kick.

Maluga punishes Namasuzuki's body with a nice straight punch.
Maluga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Namasuzuki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like Maluga wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Maluga looks for the body kick but Namasuzuki saw that one coming.
Namasuzuki appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Namasuzuki loads up on a big right hand but Maluga slips the punch.
The fighters circling - Maluga throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Namasuzuki was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Maluga throws a half hearted mid kick.
Namasuzuki connects with a body shot that sends Maluga's belly button to the back.
Namasuzuki looks to land a right hand but Maluga moved out of range.
Namasuzuki misses with a low kick.
Namasuzuki shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Maluga was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Namasuzuki fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Namasuzuki misses with a low kick.
Maluga looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Maluga connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Namasuzuki misses with a looping left.
Maluga throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Maluga lands a jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kilo Maluga dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Maluga throws a wild body kick that Namasuzuki sees coming a mile off.
Maluga lands a brutal head kick. Namasuzuki looks out on his feet and Maluga throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Kilo Maluga!
