PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vince Dega (ranked 4229 p4p, 4551 weight class) and Evan O Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Evan O Riley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dega shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

O Riley is staying active underneath Dega, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dega drops back, looking for a kneebar! O Riley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. O Riley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from O Riley!

O Riley misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

O Riley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dega is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dega tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. O Riley just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dega slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well O Riley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
