Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Cody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giroe Leon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Adrenaline-Gavin Rossdale. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leon looks to land a combination. Cody sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Cody looks for a takedown but Leon sprawls well.

Leon gets caught flat footed, as Cody shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Leon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cody decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Leon works over Cody's head and body with a nice combination.
Leon stuffs the takedown.
Leon loads up on a big right hand but Cody slips the punch.
Cody will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cody takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Cody looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Giroe Leon dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Leon stalks Cody and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cody's face. Cody staggers backwards, shaken.
Cody changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leon tries to avoid it but Cody manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leon to the ground. Leon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cody drives through and clinches with Leon against the cage.
Leon tries to break the clinch but Cody is controlling the position.

Cody jumps guard.
Leon tries to stand but Cody is controlling from the bottom.
Cody throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Leon wanted to stand there but Cody had control of the position.
Cody is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leon wants to get up but he can't break Cody's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Leon gets to his feet - Cody follows without any prompting.

Leon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cody's head.

Cody shoots for a double leg takedown but Leon sprawls well. He's pushed Cody's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Leon can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dylan Cody will probably get the nod.

Cody takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
