Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Edmonds (ranked 1687 p4p, 2005 weight class) and Desmond Glass (ranked 255 p4p, 287 weight class). Edmonds comes to the cage accompanied by Frankie Smith - Double Dutch Bus. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Edmonds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 22 - 2, fighting out of London, Desmond Glass!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edmonds lands with a nice combination. Glass backs away looking to recover.
Edmonds misses with an uppercut. Glass saw that one coming.
Glass connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A swing and a miss from Glass.
Glass throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Glass misses the target.
Edmonds lands a glancing blow to the side of Glass's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Desmond Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Edmonds checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Glass buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Edmonds pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Glass back to the cage. Edmonds follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Edmonds shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Glass's guard.

Glass has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Edmonds off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Edmonds lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Glass throws a right hand that Edmonds ducks under and follows up with a left that Edmonds also avoids with ease.

Glass takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Edmonds feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Glasss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Edmonds is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Glass is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Glass is not content to let Edmonds control the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Edmonds goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Glass moves in looking to clinch but Edmonds pushes him off.
Glass bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Edmonds throws a shot from downtown. Glass moves away and avoids it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Glass lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Edmonds has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Edmonds and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Edmonds is stalling here. Glass is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Edmonds seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Glass has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Edmonds, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
