PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Bleak (ranked 3170 p4p, 2455 weight class) and Scott Dolton (ranked 105 p4p, 66 weight class). Dolton is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Paradise Warfare. Bruno Bleak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruno Bleak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Dolton!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dolton tries to clinch up.
Bleak swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dolton.

Dolton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bleak tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Dolton is trying to get an arm triangle but Bleak is defending well.
Dolton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bleak down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dolton tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
My spies in Genetic Freaks inform me that Dolton has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Bleak has his foot on Dolton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dolton works his way back into a safe position though.
Dolton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dolton wants to control from the top but Bleak keeps moving.
Bleak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dolton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bleak has momentary wrist control but Dolton slips an elbow through the middle.

Dolton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bleak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dolton has managed to get both his arms back between Bleak's legs - danger averted.
Dolton wants to control from the top but Bleak keeps moving.
Bleak wants to sweep but no luck.
Bleak has momentary wrist control but Dolton slips an elbow through the middle.

Bleak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dolton defends it easily.

Dolton wants to control from the top but Bleak keeps moving.

Dolton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bleak misses with a hook

and Dolton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bleak's guard.

Dolton is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bleak has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dolton is looking to defend but Bleak has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dolton! Bleak pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dolton taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bruno Bleak!
After winning the bout, Bruno Bleak thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Scott Dolton stepped up to the mic, saying 'It is a joke? Let's start it over again.'.
