The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro has his takedown stuffed
and Almeida counters with a stiff right hand.
Almeida misses with a jab, cross combination.
That kick from Almeida tenderised Castro's leg. Castro is trying to keep his angry face on.
A combination from Almeida does no damage.
Castro unleashes a big counter combination but Almeida bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Vitor Almeida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almeida throws a one two combo.
Almeida seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Castro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Castro ducks right into an uppercut from Almeida.

and Almeida counters with a series of strikes. Castro will be more careful next time no doubt.
Almeida drops Castro with a huge uppercut! Castro drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Almeida is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
