Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaz Moore (ranked 6412 p4p, 4252 weight class) and Jacob Pokorney (ranked 625 p4p, 530 weight class). Pokorney comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Never Gonna Give You Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jaz Moore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaz Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Pokorney!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pokorney gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pokorney blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Pokorney works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Pokorney slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Moore looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pokorney is one step ahead there.
Pokorney wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving.
Pokorney throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore working a defensive guard but Pokorney passes into half guard.
Moore wants to control but Pokorney is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Pokorney is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Pokorney looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moore with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pokorney is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moore is just riding it out for now. Pokorney eventually gives up the hold.

Pokorney looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Moore is trying to maintain the position but Pokorney is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pokorney seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pokorney is pressing down on Moore's thigh, looking to free his foot. Moore is holding on for now.

Moore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pokorney on the ground.

Pokorney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pokorney cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pokorney tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pokorney lands a couple of good shots and Moore has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moore wants to control his opponent's hands but Pokorney gets his hands free.

Moore keeps the fight on the outside.
Moore went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pokorney. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Pokorney has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Moore has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
