Hook drives through with a takedown into Childress 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hook with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Childress to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Andre Hook has been cut.
Hook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Angel Childress is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hook throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Childress was covering up waiting for the punch and Hook finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hook sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Childress 's guard.

Childress has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hook is working away from the top position though.
