Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Pierre (ranked 4805 p4p, 24808 weight class) and Como Chudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Pierre has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Pierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Como Chudo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice combination there by Pierre.

It looks like Como Chudo has been cut.
That kick from Pierre tenderised Chudo's leg. Chudo is trying to keep his angry face on.

Pierre rushes Chudo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Chudo jumps guard but Pierre stands there with Chudo around his waist. Chudo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Chudo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Pierre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chudo uses from the top position.
Pierre wants to sweep here but Chudo controlling him for the moment.

Chudo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chudo has managed to get both his arms back between Pierre's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chudo is looking to pass into half guard but Pierre pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pierre is in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pierre is working an open guard so Chudo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Chudo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pierre.
Chudo has his takedown stuffed
and Pierre counters with a nice body shot.
Chudo wants to clinch.
Chudo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Leo Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Como Chudo.
Chudo shoots in looking for a takedown but Pierre manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chudo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Chudo swings for the body but Pierre moves out of range.

Pierre has closed the distance and engaged Chudo in a clinch.

Pierre breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chudo wants to get back to his feet but Pierre passes into half guard.

Pierre is trying to control the action in half guard but Chudo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pierre is keen to just control but Chudo is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chudo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pierre throwing shots but Chudo is blocking nicely.

Pierre feints a jab promting Chudo to slip. Pierre then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Chudo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Chudo is looking to clinch but Pierre is avoiding it.
Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Chudo, looking for a takedown. Pierre pushes Chudo against the cage but Chudo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Chudo sprawls well. He's pushed Pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chudo takes the fight into the clinch.
