Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Jaques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leevi Nikkola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jaques might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ride The Lightning by Metallica. Nikkola has chosen Paranoid as his entrance music. The key to victory for Cole Jaques has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaques throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jaques shoots for a takedown but Nikkola saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nikkola is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jaques.
Nikkola connects with the punch.

It looks like Cole Jaques has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Nikkola. No joy for Jaques on that attempt.
Nikkola looks to land a right hand but Jaques moved out of range.
Jaques looks to land a combination but Nikkola avoids it well.
Nikkola misses with the combination.
Nikkola throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jaques cracks Nikkola with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jaques drops Nikkola with a left right combo! Jaques follows him down to the ground into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jaques tries to stand but Nikkola is controlling his head.
Nikkola pushes Jaques away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jaques gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jaques wants to stand but Nikkola is controlling his arm.

Jaques tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Nikkola is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jaques asserts his dominance and retains side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jaques lands with a right that hurts Nikkola. Nikkola looks to clinch but Jaques throws a short knee that drops Nikkola. This one is all over!
