Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bradley Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ross changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallace keeps working.

Ross wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wallace, who protects the arm well.
Ross cracks Wallace with a big elbow.

Ross tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ross has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ross remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Wallace tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Ross's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wallace is trying to get back to half guard.

Ross has hold of Wallace's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wallace seems comfortable defending it but Ross has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wallace is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wallace is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ross couldn't care less - he's delighted!
