The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read lands with a straight right. Kemppainen didn't see that one coming.
Read ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Kemppainen jumps guard but Read stands there with Kemppainen around his waist. Kemppainen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sloppy strikes from Kemppainen. Those never looked like landing.
Kemppainen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Read clobbers Kemppainen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Read feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kemppainen sprawling to the canvas! Kemppainen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Read finish him?!

and Read rattles Kemppainen with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kemppainen tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Read dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kemppainen stiff and motionless on the mat!
