Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shepherd Bushiri (ranked 15834 p4p, 24774 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Xxx Xxx was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bushiri shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Xxx's guard.
Bushiri not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bushiri pushes down on Xxx's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bushiri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bushiri working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bushiri is trying to work for a kimura but Xxx is defending well.
Bushiri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Bushiri postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Xxx to stand up.

Xxx tries to sprawl but Bushiri drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Bushiri's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Xxx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bushiri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bushiri seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Xxx for as long as he can get away with.
Xxx flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

We've been told by Bushiri's head coaches at Aloha MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bushiri lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Shepherd Bushiri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bushiri lands a brutal head kick. Xxx looks out on his feet and Bushiri throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
