Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marty Corninger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jari Kuokkanen!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuokkanen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corninger was well out of range. Poor timing from Kuokkanen.
Kuokkanen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kuokkanen takes the fight into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Corninger fails to land.
Kuokkanen fails to pull guard.
Kuokkanen jumps guard but Corninger stands there with Kuokkanen around his waist. Kuokkanen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Corninger drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kuokkanen sprawls and moves away.
Corninger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kuokkanen's waist but Kuokkanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corninger off to one side.
Corninger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kuokkanen moves into range and clinches up with Corninger.
Corninger is trying to break the clinch but Kuokkanen is controlling him.
Kuokkanen jumps guard but Corninger stands there with Kuokkanen around his waist. Kuokkanen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kuokkanen gets underhooks to prevent Corninger's takedown attempt.
Kuokkanen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Corninger has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kuokkanen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corninger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Corninger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kuokkanen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Corninger defends it easily.
Kuokkanen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Corninger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Corninger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuokkanen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kuokkanen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kuokkanen working for a triangle but Corninger defends it easily.

Corninger is posturing up here but Kuokkanen has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Corninger tries to roll out but it's too tight and Corninger has to tap! Slick submission there by Kuokkanen!

After winning the bout, Jari Kuokkanen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
