PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Fuller (ranked 3249 p4p, 2132 weight class) and Pete Dunham (ranked 392 p4p, 260 weight class). Dunham has chosen Im Forever Blowing Bubbles as his entrance music. Pete Dunham will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Fuller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Dunham!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunham scores with the left hand. Fuller knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like John Fuller has been cut.
Dunham throws a leg kick which misses Fuller's front leg but catches the back leg as Fuller tries to avoid it.
Fuller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Fuller loads up on a big right hand but Dunham slips the punch.

Fuller moves forwards but Dunham connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Fuller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dunham did well to prevent Fuller getting side control.

Dunham felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
