Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Moore (ranked 254 p4p, 199 weight class) and Jake Bird (ranked 29 p4p, 26 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Bird!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bird blocks a head kick by Moore.
Bird wants to clinch up but Moore keeps it at a distance.
Moore throws a front kick aimed at Bird's knee but Bird avoids it well.
Bird drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Moore defends it well.
Bird throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moore's waist but Moore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bird off to one side.
Moore misses with a looping left.
Moore throws a head kick that misses
so Bird counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bird tries to free his leg and advance position but Moore is retaining full guard.
Bird is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird has gone for a leg lock! Moore slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bird's guard.

Bird had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moore defends it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bird is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moore defends well.
Bird has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.

Moore cracks Bird with a right hand to the side of the head.
The crowd cheers as Moore lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bird doesn't seem phased though.
Moore misses with a wild body shot.
And Bird tries to counter it with a takedown but Moore pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Moore looks to land a combination but Bird avoids it well.

Angelo Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sloppy strikes from Moore. Those never looked like landing.
Moore stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A nice leg kick lands there from Moore.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bird shoots for a double leg takedown but Moore sprawls well. He's pushed Bird's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Moore throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bird wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moore, who protects the arm well.
Bird tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bird has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bird wants to control for a moment but Moore uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Bird is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moore defends it well.
Moore is trying to stand.

Moore is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bird presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Bird jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moore walks away with a smile on his face. Bird gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Moore scores with a head kick. Bird tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Moore lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bird has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bird and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Moore cracks Bird with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Moore slaps away a takedown attempt from Bird, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice uppercut lands for Moore. That snapped Bird's head back.
Moore turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Moore scores with a punch to the head.
Moore ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bird moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bird closes the distance and clinches.
Bird tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bird swings wildly with an uppercut but Moore uses good head movement to avoid it.
Moore escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Bird counters with a shoot takedown. Moore fights it but they end up in guard.
Bird looking to sit in guard and control but Moore gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bird trying to keep a closed guard but Moore is proving a slippery customer.
Moore wants to stand but Bird has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Bird looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moore, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
