The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Altieri moves out of range as Waza strikes.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Altieri gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Altieri apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Waza throws out a loose jab but Altieri uses good head movement to avoid it.

so Altieri counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Waza is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Altieri dives into side control.

Altieri tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
