Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Smirnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sipho Maseco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smirnov comes to the cage accompanied by Russian National Anthem. Nikolai Smirnov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maseco throws the left hand but Smirnov avoids the punch easily.
Maseco drives through and clinches with Smirnov against the cage.
Smirnov fails to pull guard.
Smirnov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Smirnov is looking to control Maseco's arms but Maseco gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smirnov has his back to the cage.
Smirnov tries for a takedown but Maseco manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikolai Smirnov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smirnov goes for a takedown attempt but Maseco pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Maseco just misses with a punch to the body.
Smirnov closes the distance and clinches up with Maseco, looking for a takedown. Smirnov pushes Maseco against the cage but Maseco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smirnov gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maseco is pressing down on Smirnov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Maseco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smirnov is one step ahead there.
Maseco wants to stand and escape but Smirnov is having none of it.
Maseco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Smirnov passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Maseco can't do much from the bottom here.
Smirnov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Maseco is looking to regain half guard here but Smirnov keeps moving and retains side control.
Smirnov misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Maseco struggling a bit here.
Smirnov wants to control but Maseco is keeping him busy.
Maseco is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck for Smirnov with that takedown attempt.
Maseco lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smirnov is breathing heavily.
Maseco throws a one two combo.
Maseco swinging wilding here.
Maseco moves into the clinch.
Maseco is struggling to control the position.
Smirnov jumps guard but Maseco stands there with Smirnov around his waist. Smirnov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maseco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Maseco throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smirnov's head.
Smirnov slips a jab and a cross from Maseco.
Maseco throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Smirnov is rocked!
Maseco connects with a nice cross there... Smirnov is looking wobbly and Maseco recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Smirnov to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Maseco jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
