CWC 285 PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Dave Beast! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 17 losses; Arm Breaker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Breaker moves to clinch but Beast breaks away

Breaker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beast is aware though and is defending well.
Breaker is trying to keep Beast in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beast stays in close to Breaker's body and controls the position.
Breaker is trying to control the position but Beast postures up.
Breaker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beast can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Beast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Breaker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Beast's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Beast is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Beast wants to take a breather but Breaker is having none of it.
Beast looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
