The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pereira as he avoids it easily.
Santos tries to clinch up but Pereira circles away and keeps his distance.
Left hook, right uppercut from Pereira.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pereira as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown by Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Pereira which made him look bad.
Vinicius Pereira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evangalista Santos.
Santos shoots in but Pereira avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Evangalista Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pereira throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely.
Pereira connects with a jab.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Pereira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Santos throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Pereira pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Pereira misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Santos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pereira throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Pereira throws a push kick but Santos slaps the foot to one side.
Pereira lands a two punch combo.
Santos throws a head kick that misses.
Pereira avoids the head kick by Santos.
Nice jab there from Pereira.
Santos shoots in and drives through. Pereira sprawls well.
Pereira swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.
Nice takedown defense from Pereira. No joy for Santos on that attempt.
Santos throws a sloppy head kick and Pereira moves out of range easily.

Santos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pereira but Pereira pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Santos slips a jab and a cross from Pereira.
Pereira lands with a straight right. Santos didn't see that one coming.
Pereira throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Santos shoots in and drives through. Pereira sprawls well.
Santos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pereira lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Santos backs up against the cage.
It looks like Evangalista Santos has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pereira throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Santos stumbling backwards into the cage! Santos bounces back off the cage towards Pereira, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pereira lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pereira celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
