Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thorvald Nansen (ranked 1190 p4p, 2519 weight class) and Chike Obi (ranked 161 p4p, 310 weight class). Nansen comes to the cage accompanied by Benny Jamz - Torden. On his way into the cage it seems that Thorvald Nansen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Thorvald Nansen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obi lands with a right hand.
Obi throws a lazy uppercut
and Nansen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nansen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Obi throws a poor cross that misses
and Nansen counters with a left to the body.
A low kick lands for Nansen.
Obi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Obi throws the left hand but Nansen avoids the punch easily.
Obi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nansen was well out of range. Poor timing from Obi.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nansen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A slow jab from Obi misses its intended target.
Nansen connects with a solid leg kick.
Nansen ducks under a wild hook from Obi.
Nansen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nansen moves out of range as Obi strikes.
Nansen instigates a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Nansen.
Nansen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chike Obi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nansen's head backwards.
Obi looks to land a left hand but Nansen moved out of range nicely.
Nansen walks into a straight right hand from Obi.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Obi misses with an uppercut
and Nansen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Obi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nansen is looking to counter punch.
Nansen gets a takedown into half guard.
Obi wants to get back to full guard.

Nansen wants to work for an arm triangle but Obi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nansen is looking to work some ground and pound but Obi has wrist control.
Obi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nansen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nansen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nansen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nansen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Obi!
