Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darren Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan JONES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan JONES!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JONES stuffs the takedown.
JONES misses the shot to the body.
Rage on the wrong end of a nice jab.


It looks like Darren Rage has been cut.
Rage tries to close the distance and clinch but JONES swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
JONES throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rage blocks a jab.
Rage scores with a kick to the body.
JONES looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rage fails with a takedown attempt.

Rage gets the takedown into side control.
Rage is chipping away with strikes.

Rage decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dan JONES seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rage shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has JONES pinned against the cage. JONES gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rage trying to control the action but JONES is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

JONES tries to improve position but can't.
JONES is trying to control Rage's posture but Rage avoids it.
JONES might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rage kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rage works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
JONES is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rage.

Rage has taken the fight to the clinch.
JONES lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rage or not.
JONES goes for a takedown attempt but Rage pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rage clinches up against the cage.
JONES can't get the takedown.

Rage wants the takedown. JONES is fighting it off but Rage persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in JONES's guard against the cage.
Rage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
JONES utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

JONES escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for JONES on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
JONES is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

JONES trying to keep a closed guard but Rage is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
JONES looking for a guillotine here but Rage defends easily.
Rage wanted to stand there but JONES had control of the position.

JONES is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rage stands and steps away. JONES gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rage throws a head kick that misses.
JONES thows a body shot but no joy.
Rage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
JONES lands a right hook to the body.
JONES tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rage was well out of range. Poor timing from JONES.
Rage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts JONES as he jumps to the side.
JONES cracks a nice hook into Rage's ribs.
Rage misses with a body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rage throws a series of punches but JONES moves out of range.

and Rage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rage's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
JONES manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rage manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rage closes the distance and clinches up with JONES, looking for a takedown. Rage pushes JONES against the cage but JONES circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

JONES wants to get back to his feet but Rage is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
JONES manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rage manages to get himself to full guard.
JONES stands up out of Rage's guard for a moment - Rage manages to land a nice upkick.
Rage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rage wants to get back to his feet but JONES is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
JONES advances to half guard.

JONES stands up from half guard.
Darren Rage is winning the standup battle so far.
JONES misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rage keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rage uses good head movement to avoid the hook from JONES.

Rage has JONES up against the cage in a clinch.
Rage leaning against his opponent.
JONES drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rage pulls his leg out and moves away.
JONES just misses with a punch to the body.
JONES throws a nice looking combination but Rage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rage ducks under a wild hook from JONES.

JONES swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rage pulls out of a head kick attempt.
JONES uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rage has time to react.
JONES throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rage counters with a solid body kick.

Rage feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
JONES manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
JONES throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
JONES is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rage can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rage keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

JONES is going olschool here, as he tries to force Rage to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rage shrugs it off.

JONES is standing up, even though he is in mount.
JONES takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rage takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rage throws a series of punches but JONES moves out of range.
JONES scores with a shot to the body.
Rage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but JONES swivels and escapes.

JONES goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
JONES misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rage.

JONES throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rage sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rage closes this distance looking for a takedown but JONES circles away.

JONES manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rage's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
JONES is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rage scores with a couple of nice shots.

Rage throws the left hand but JONES avoids the punch easily.
Rage takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
JONES stuns Rage with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
JONES scores with a hook to the body. Rage takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
JONES lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Rage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but JONES was well out of range. Poor timing from Rage.
JONES throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
JONES swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
JONES is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rage rather than just go for the knockout.

Rage clinches with his opponent.
Rage tried to land a shot to the body but connects with JONES's elbow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

JONES jumps guard and drags Rage to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

JONES has his foot on Rage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rage works his way back into a safe position though.

Rage has closed the distance and engaged JONES in a clinch.
JONES is trying to break the clinch but Rage has him pressed against the cage.

JONES ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. JONES no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Rage decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on JONES, up you get!

Rage walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
JONES lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rage throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
JONES just misses with a punch to the body.
JONES with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rage throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around JONES's waist but JONES gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rage off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
JONES throws a body punch but Rage moves out of range.
Rage fails in his attempt to clinch.
JONES keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No luck for Rage with that takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dan JONES comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think JONES has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
